Our Services

At Beddoe Court Nursing Home, we provide a specialist, recovery-focused environment tailored to adults living with severe, complex, and enduring mental health needs. Our care goes beyond symptom management—we support individuals to regain control, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward a more independent life.

Specialist Mental Health Nursing

Our home is registered for mental health nursing, with a dedicated multidisciplinary team available 24/7. Every shift is supported by at least one qualified nurse, ensuring constant access to expert clinical care. Our team includes mental health and general nurses, occupational therapists, recovery workers, and support staff—all working together to deliver individualised, person-centred support.

Personalised Recovery Plans

We use the I-ROC (Individual Recovery Outcomes Counter) model to develop bespoke care plans tailored to each resident’s goals and strengths. Whether it’s managing daily routines, reconnecting with community activities, or planning for future transition, we focus on what’s next in the recovery journey—not starting over, but building on what’s already been achieved.

Rehabilitation Through Everyday Living

Our newly renovated facilities are designed to support both care and independence. With ensuite bedrooms, two kitchens (including a therapy kitchen), communal lounges, and step-down spaces for transition, our environment mirrors real life—giving residents the tools and confidence to develop practical life skills like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.

Strong Community Links

We believe that engagement with the wider world is vital for recovery. That’s why we maintain close ties with local colleges, community projects, and volunteering opportunities. Our in-house transport helps residents stay active and connected, whether it’s attending external activities or participating in social outings.

Activities

At Beddoe Court, we believe that meaningful occupation is at the heart of recovery. That’s why we offer a wide range of daily activities designed to build confidence, encourage independence, and create a sense of purpose and enjoyment.

Daily Activities

Our team organises varied daily sessions tailored to resident interests and goals. From creative arts and crafts to cooking groups, board games, music, and gentle exercise, there’s always something to take part in. Residents are encouraged to suggest new ideas, and activities are regularly adapted to reflect their evolving needs and preferences.

Allotment Project

Just a short walk from the home, our dedicated allotment offers residents a peaceful outdoor space to grow their own fruit, vegetables, and flowers. It’s a chance to connect with nature, learn new skills, and be part of a shared, rewarding project.

Community Engagement

We work closely with local groups, colleges, and volunteering schemes to provide opportunities for residents to step back into the wider world at their own pace. Whether it’s helping with local events, pursuing education, or attending workshops, we actively support community involvement as part of the recovery journey.

Tailored Support for Participation

We recognise that everyone’s needs and energy levels are different. Our high staff-to-resident ratio ensures that participation is supported and encouraged in a way that feels safe, positive, and empowering for each individual.
